Rabies is spread chiefly by dogs but man and all warm blooded animals are susceptible. Rabiea incidence is highest in late winter an spring, although it occurs in every season. In as much as the dog as a house hold pet comes in closest contact with man, prevention of rabies in human is primarily directed dogs.
The rabies virus must be passed through a bite of wound to perpetuate the disease and there is no case on record where eating meat or drinking milk of an infected animal has caused rabies.
