No, indeed, the weather never bothers me! This is the time to start practicing one of those “mind over matter” themes. “Just don’t think about the heat” is a good theory (I hopcf)• “Go about . your business in .the regular way and if you don’t think about the heat, you won’t be hot.”
Now, let’s see. It was some woman who gained fame, with a theory of convincing yourself you were good, and you’d be gofid. Maybe her name was Carrie Nation, or Lydia E. Pinkham — or maybe it wasn’t. (My memory always works better in hot weather.) Every day in every way the heat doesn’t bother me better and better. (Second verse just like the first: 'way down yonder, not far off, the jaybird died with the whoopin’-cough. Heat doesn’t bother me a bit.)
