Mr. and Mrs. W. Arthur Miller entertained at dinner Saturday evening, celebrating their twenty-first wedding anniversary. Guests for dinner were Mr. and Mrs. Downing Wood, Mrs. Eugene Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Henry M. Miller, Capt. Wil* liam Weiner, Joe Dejarnett Keyser, and Mrs. Henry Keyser.

Misses Ann and -Betty Griffith spent from Tuesday until Thursday with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Woodward at Rockwall home. .

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Clater of Warrenton were in Sperryville on Friday night for a short visit with' their parents, Mr. and Mrs. ■ CHnt Clater and to return with their daughter and son, Patsy and Bobbie who spent last week with their grandparents.

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hammonds and son have retimed to Cottage City, Maryland after spending a twoweek vacaton with Mr. and Mrs. Lee Swindler.

Sgt. A. Lee Swindler Jr., who has been on a 30-day leave at his home in Sperryville, has returned to his base in Rapid Ciiy, South Dakota.

Mr. and Mrs. Davd V'. Chapman Jr. and son, David V. Ill of Richmond were week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. D. V. Chapman. Mrs. Linwood Mitchell, who accompanied them, is remaining for a longer visit with her sister, Mrs. Mary C. Brown in the C hapman home. Mrs. Jack Bruce and son and daughter. Manly ami Diane, spent Friday m Washington, D. C. with her mother, Mrs. Lucy W. Hawkins. Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Manuel and family of Browntown spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Chris Schaefer. —Miss. Elma-Davis- Bruce and -BuddySmith of Washington, D. C. spent the weekend at “Barlow” with Mrs, Helen Bruce.

Mrs. Maury Brown, Mrs. Mabel Gore and their brother-in-law and sster, Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Partlow of Culpeper motored to Richmond on Thursday to visit Maury Brown, who is steadily improving at McGuire Hospital.
