Mrs. Jaenie Jarvis motored to Richmond and returned on Wednesday accompanied by her son, A. Preston Jarvis, Jr., who is spending a vacation here.
Elder and Mrs. J. Harvey Daily motored to Laurel, Maryland Friday where they were overnight guests of Mrs. Poe. On Saturday they attended the ordination services of Emory and Charles Alderton, which was held in the Columbia Primitive Baptist t hurch in Burkesville, Maryland, returning to Sperryvlle on Saturday night in order to be present on Sunday for the regular services at Thornton Gap.
Mrs. E. B. Cary and son, William visited Mrs. Cary's daughters and sons-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Bradshaw of Baltimore and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Reid of Edgwood. Mr* and Mrs. Reid brought them home Saturday evening and remained over the week-end. *
Miss Jo Ellen Worth, who has been visiting in Baltimore, was home over the weekend. While here Miss Worth and her mother, Mrs. E. B. Cary attended Miss Nancy Fravel’s wedding in Woodstock. Miss Worth sang during the ceremony of her schoolmate, Miss Fravel.
Miss Mary Massie Lea is visiting friends and relatives in Lynchburg this. week. Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Lea spent the week end at Muses Beach.
