Supervisors Meeting
The Board of Supervisors held its regular November meeting, Wednesday, November 5, at 10 a.m. with W. C Campbell, J. P Cook, A. H. Buckner and A. C. Latham present. H. B. Wood and E. M. Estes were absent.
High lights of the meeting were: l motion made by J.P. Cook and r seconded by A.C. Latham to give Guy Burke authority to buy anl put a i ' Yale lock on the Court House and provide each officer with a key. Mr. Cook stated because of the (act that he was asked, so very often, the county officers’ salaries. He made a motion that the board would instruct the secretary to furnish such a list to be published in the Rappahannock News. This was seconded by A. H. Buckner and carried.
Mr. Latham moved that the salary of the sheriff be increased as requested, this was seconded also.
The welfare and health officers reports were ordered filed.
Because the entrance to the Flint Hill School was considered dangerous. Mr. Cook asked the board to allow, not to exceed $250, for purpose of building an entrance. This was duly seconded and carried.
Maggie Baily of Amissville was allowed $21 for 24 chickens which were destroyed by a dog.
