Pvt Atkins Home On Leave
Pvt. Roadcap Atkins arrived at Washington by plane Saturday for the first time since entering the Army in April to spend a 10-day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Roadcap Atlans. •
Pvt. Atkins is stationed with the _ 101th Airborne Division, where he is working in the finance office.
CHURCH AUXILIARY MEETS
The Harvest Home Festival and * the regular meeting of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Emmanuel Church was held on, Wednesday evening in the home of Miss Louise Schwartz, with ten members present. Mrs. W. R. Williamson president, presided. Mrs. Z. H. Sealock led the devotional. After a short business meeting, Mrs. Williamson introduced the guest speaker, Mrs. Johnson from St. Ann’s Presentorium who gave a very interesting account of the great work that is being done for underprivileged children. Members of Trinity Guild who were invited were Mrs. J. W. Price, Mrs. Alice Verner, Miss Elizabeth Verner, Mrs. D. D. Miller, Mrs. B. R. Cox, Mrs. George Davis, Mrs. Matilda Walker1? Mrs. T. C. Lea, Other guests were Miss Lucile Brown Miss Charlotte Golladay and Miss Peggy Pillar. Durng the social hour the hostess served refreshments
