At a discussion on artificial breeding of dairy cattle, led by Keith A. Houston of the V.P. I. Dairy Husbandry Department at the Court House last Friday night seven Rappahannock milk shippers stated they had a total of 87 head which they would like to have bred artficial. As a result of the interest a countywide survey will be made to determine frasibility of farming a local association or whether to try to tie in with some of the local organizations of Fauquier or Culpeper Co

This year a total of 43,000 dafry cows have been bred artificially in Virginia. These cows being owned by members of the 33 local cooperatives serving 70 of the 99 counties in Virginia.
