Mr. and Mrs. Downing Wood carried their youngest daughter, Frances Downing to Johns Hopkins Hospital, Monday for a tonsil operation and treatments of throat and ears.
BRIDGE PARTY
Mrs. George H. Davis entertained the Washington Bridge Club on Friday night for dessert bridge. After the game Mrs. Davis presented fnor prizes, the first went to Mrs. D. D. Miller, high score; Mrs. J. E. Keyser, second; Mrs. W. F. Moffett, third and Mrs. Elizabeth DeBergh, fourth.

R. E. Luttrell, who has been on the sick list, is better. Edward Leyal of Staunton was a dinner guest Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Luttrell and Elliott Doyle called in the afternoon. Mrs. M. D. Scott of Washington, D. C. and Miss Vifgnia Cooksey of Maryland were weekend guests of Mrs. Ethel Cooksey. Lewis Nelson of Washington, D. C. was a weekend guest of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Nelson. Harry Spillman of Richmond was the week-end guest of Mrs A. P. Hill. ., 4 Mrs. Charles Green and daughter were Front Royal visitors last 'Wednesday. Mrs. Buddy Palmer and Miss Lucile Riley were Friday afternoon guests of Mrs. Clifton Nethers. Mrs. Charles Compton was at Winchester Hospital Friday for treatment.
Mrs. Richie Colvin and Roy James were recent Fredericksburg visitors. Dr. Holmes Luttrell of Pulaski was a weekend guest of R. E. Luttrell.
Miss Erya Poe and Mrs. Jennie Smith attended the movies last Thursday night.
