Jailed Man Goes
Completely Berserk
Archie J. Clark, who was being held in Rappahannock County jail, charged with a number of breakings and entering in the area, went berserk in his cell and destroyed and defaced everything he could reach. He tore the cot and stool loose from the wall and broke a number of window panes. It took several men to subdue him before he could be taken to Front Royal for confinement and then to Marion Penitentiary for observation. A restraining belt with his hands cuffed to the waist and aleg strap were necessary before he was calmed.
