Recruit Alfred H. Bridget, son of Arthur Bridget, Washington, Va., is presently assigned to Company A, 4th Battalion, 1st Training Regiment of the U.S. Army Training Center, Infantry, at Fort Jackson, S. C. where he is undergoing eight weeks of Basic Combat Treining.
He will be taught rifle marksmanship under the L .S. Army’s Trainfirc program which enables the modern soldier to become a better rifleman in less than time than previous methods. - During his seventh week of training, he will live in the field under conditions similar to those in the forward areas of a battle zone. He learns the practical applications of the skills and knowledge gained in previous instruction.
As a climax to this training, he will march with his batallion in a review before the commanding general of Fort Jackson.
