Injures Hand Severely
David Anderson, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Anderson of Sperryville, was struck on the hand by a 140 pound power hammer while at his work with the Highway Depart ment. Seventy-five stitches were required to close the wound and a skin graft was also necessary. ‘He was hospitalized for several days in Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
Bud Settle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ned Settle of Washington, Va., suffered a badly sprained ankle while practicing basketball. He received x rays and treatment at the Warren Memorial Hospital.
