Polish Children
An American diplomat ami his wife have taken a step which may do more than dollar aid to strengthen the bonds between the United States'and Poland.
They have adopted two Polish children.
Lee Stull, first secretary of the American embassy in Warsaw, Poland!, adopted the brother and sister Suzarvira 6 ancf Paul 5, in March. He and his wife Betsy, with their 9-year-old son Owen and the two newcomers, art in this country on a two-month furlough from the foreign post.
They are spending most of their leave in Philadelphia with Mrs. Stull’s parents, but were in Griffinsburg, Culpeper County, for several days to visit Stull’s mother, Mrs. Oliver Durant II and Mr. Durant.
“When we went to Poland two years ago, it w^s with the'expectation of adopting two children,” said the Stulls. “We feel we were extremely fortunate in finding a brother and sister who fit so beautifully into our family.”
The children’s real father is dead arui their mother is unable to support them. Able to speak English fluently, they vyill become American citizens before their return to Poland next month.
