Pedestrians

Automobile companies have for years issued safety tips to drivers in an effort to reduce the nation’s accident toll.

Noting that the combination of hurrying shoppers, poor visibility, and slippery streets make December the most dangerous month of the year for pedestrians, these suggestions this year are for pedestrians.

They are offered by George J. Cutler, director of service for Plymouth Division of Chrysler Corporation :

1. Don’t cariy so many parcels that your visibility is hampered. Make two trips, if necessary.

2. Cross only at intersections and wait for the green light. Don’t try to run across when the amber light is on.
