On Sunday, June 4th all telephones in the Front Royal, Washington, Luray, Stanley and Shenandoah, Virginia exchanges of the Virginia Telephone and Telegraph Company will be connected to the nationwide Direct Distance Dialing network. This will mean that subscribers will be able to dial, direct sfation-to-station calls to any one of over 50 mill on te'ephones in the Unitd Stares, Crr .i~ Alaska, Hawaii and islands in *l,e Caribbean. Exchanges of the C. & P. Telephone Company rc Virginia also affected by this change are Areola, Bluemont, C’lverton, Hamilton, Haymarket, Hillsboro. Leesburg, Lovettsville, Marshall, Middleburg, Purecllville, Remington, The Plains, Shenandoah National Park, Upperville, Warrenton and Waterford. .
