Fruit growers will meet at the Court House at 7:30 p.m. (EST) tomorrow. George Williams, Extension Horticulturist of the Winchester Research Station, will discuss current orchard insect and disease developments and effective control measures.

Also color slides will be shown of various orchard insects.

Interested in honey bees? John Amos, Bee Specialist of VPI’s entomology department, will be at the Lucio Kilby farm at 3:30 p.m. (EST) on Wednesday, May 31. Mr. Amos will demonstrate precautions in handling bees, how to tell whether the queen is doing her job and discuss bee management in general. The public is invited.
