DeBergh
Mrs. Elizabeth H. DeBergh, well known resident of .Washington, Va. and wife of the late Randolph .Rutherford DeBergh of Brattleboro, Vermont, died Sun-' day, May 21, in a Front Royal Hospital, following an extended illness.
Daughter of the late James T. Harris and Mollie Papham Brown of Slate Mills, Mrs. De Bcrgh was postal clerk at the Washington Post Office for about 30 years. She was 69.
She is survived by two sons, John Randolph DeBergh, Washington, Va. and Lt. Cmdr. James VanLowen DeBergh of Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin; a sister, Mrs. Jessie H. Cox of Washington, Va.; a brother, Lt. Cmdr. John R. Harris of Falls Church; and four grandchildren.
A graveside funeral service was held Tuesday, May 23, from the family section of Washington Masonic Cemetery. Her pastor, the Rev. Warren Wilbur of Washington Baptist Church conducted the last rites.
Pallbearers were W. F. Moffett Jr., James W. Fletcher, George Miller, Arthur Miller, Joseph Jenkins, Joseph D. Keyser, Wade H. Massie, III, and Vincent Atkins.
Geest Funeral Parlors were in charge of arrangements.
