Peyton Anderson was born July 4, 1838 at Locust Shade farm near Gaines X Roads (now Ben Venue) He married Louemma F. Miller on February 29, 1876. After the early morning ceremony, performed by Rev. Barnett Grimslcy and a wedding breakfast, they began ithe long drive by buggy to Warrenton where they boarded a train for Philadelphia, Pa. to attend the Centenniel Kxposi ion.
The Andersons made their home at larcust Shade where they reared their five children, two of whom now survive. Ms. A. C. Latham, Amissville, Va. and _ Aubrey Anderson of Maxwell, Calif.
Mr. Amleyson died January 12, 1914. Mrs. Anderson died in I9s( at the age of 102.
