Mrs. Bentley Retires
Mrs. George J. Bentley of Ash Tree Farm, Washington, Virginia and Chevy Chase, D. C., has retired from the Federal Government hervice after 32 years *nth eight months. She was employed in the Deposits Branch, Bureau of Accounts, Treasury Department as fiscal Accounting Clerk. Her co-workers gave her a lovely retirement party on Friday, January 25, with about sixty people attending. She was given rhe Gallatin Award signed by the Secretary of the Treasury, which represents 20 or more years of meritorious service in the Treasury Department. She also received letters of congratulation from the Fiscal Assistant Secretary, Commissioner of Accounts, and Deputy Commissioner of Accounts. She was presented a ! beautiful white gold wrist watch from her co-workers along with a lovely orchid. The Treasury Seal was in the center of the large cake i which.formed the main part of the centerpiece on the table. Mrs. Bentley is Secretary of Treasury Local 262 National Federation of Federal Employees, which position she has held for twentyfive years.
