Being Formed
At Sperryville
A majorette group is being organized in Sperryville and j any youngsters interested in joining this marching unit may contact Mrs. Elmer At^ kins before February 23. The group meets each Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. at the Fire House.
A Bake Sale will be held Saturday, February 9th at 10 a.m. in Sperryville Fire House. Proceeds of the sale will be used rowardthe"purI chase of uniforms.

Plans Carnival
The Washington Volunteer Fire Department will have its regular meeting on Monday , February 11 at 7:00 P.M. at the Court House. All members and friends are urged to attend. Fire Chief Gibson Wharton reports that plans for the Carnival and parade are progressing daily. The grand prize to be given away during the Carnival will be a 1963 Chevrolet which has been ordered. Other plans will be discussed. The Chief is greatly encouraged by the
| response to date. Other business on the agenda of special interest at the ! forthcoming meeting is the I report by the Planning and £tudy committee on a possible location for a larger ; Fire House.
