Mrs. Edw. Yates, Jr.
Mrs. Edward Moore Yates, Jr., 52, of Fairfax County died Tuesday, January 29, 1963 in Alexandria Hospital. Funeral services were held at 11:30 a. m. Friday at Arlington National Cemetery. Mrs. Yates was the wife of retired Navy Captain Edward Moore Yates, Jr., formerly of Huntly, Va., a civilian employee at the United States Air Force Headquarters in the Pentagon. She was the former Marcia Gillescie of Stillwater, Minn, and from 1934 to 1951 was employed in the District by The Federal Surplus Commodities Corporation and the Budget Bureau. She is survived by her husband; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Winter of Redwood Falls, Minn.; and a brother, James B. Gillescie of Chicago.
