Veterans Asked To
Complete Questions
More than 3100 pensioners in Virginia have about one week to return their questionnaires to the Veterans Administration or have their pensions cut off. Some 2700 others had their income cards returned for correction because they were incomplete or illegible. A VA pensioner must return his card even though
he knows his pi 963 income will exceed his limits, or face the possibility of paying back to the government
all pension received during the past year. Entitlement of veterans and their survivors to VA
pension benefits depends
largely on the amount of their outside annual income. By means of the income questionnaire the VA determines whether each pensioner is entitled to continuance of the pension, and in some cased, upward or downward adjustment of the amount.
