Mrs. Maggie Atkins
Mrs. Maggie May Atkins, 80, wife of James Walton Atkins of Sperryville, died Friday, May 10, 1963 after a long illness. She was a lifelong resident of Sperryville, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Atkins. In addition to her husband she is survived by a son, Clyde Atkins of Sperryville; three brothers, George W., Harry and Clifford Atkins all of Luray and a sister, Mrs. Kate Judd of Elkin, N. C. Graveside services were held Sunday, May 12 at Reynolds Memorial Church Cemetery. The Rev. Clyde Melton, pastor of the church, of which Mrs. Atkins was a lifelong member, officiated. Pallbearers were P. Lee Thornton, James William Fletcher, Dr* J. P. Snead, Gaylord Atkins, O. P. Morton, Lee Cornwell, Cecil Atkins and •Harry Trescott.
