Sheep Scabies

First of all, I want to thank the Inspection C o mmittee and all Rappahannock sheep owners for the excellent work and cooperation shown in our efforts connected with the state-wide Sheep Scabies Eradication Pre» gram. Virginia is an eradication area. All flocks in the state have had one initial inspection.
While no scab was found in Rappahannock, 29 cases were diagnosed in Virginia. All such flocks have been
pipped twice. Also one highly suspicious flock and four flocks exposed to scabies have been dipped. As soon as further information is available on the status of the state, I will publish it. On May 21 our telephone number will be 675-3619.
