Rappahannock is behind on Brucellosis vaccination of heifers this year! Through March, but 12'; had been vaccinated against this dread disease. We should have vaccinated at least .20'; if we are to meet our 10 per cent goal. Even this allows for peak vaccination to be accomplished in July .August and September.
Cowmen: remember we have a ‘Modified-Certified Brucellosis Fr.ee” rating. One of the best ways of assuring yourselves of keeping this rating is through vaccination of heifer calves at 4 to 8 months of age.
