Postman Honored
William F. Jones, son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Jones of Woodville, letter carrier for the Hampton Post Office has been given a “superior accomplishment" award from Postmaster General J. Edward Day and a check for $100.00, it was announced Wednesday by Postmaster Kimberly. Jones has been with the Hampton postal system for about six years. Kimberly said it is only the second such award presented in the nine years he has been postmaster. The first award went to Supervisor Thornton F. Jones who was a clerk at the time, four years ago.
