Interest To Veterans
The State of Virginia maintains a service to assist veterans, their widows, orphans, and dependents in obtaining their benefits, rights, and privileges under the various laws enacted for their benefit by the Federal, State, and local governments.
This organization, under the Attorney General, is known as the Virginia Division of War Veterans' Claims and has sixteen field offices strategically located in order to provide service to every section of the State. The field representatives travel on regular preannounced schedules to nearly every section of Virginia where they work with local representatives of Veterans’ organizations, state and civic officials, and community leaders in order that no person entitled to benefits may go unassisted.
