In considering a piece of furniture for refinishing, rein ember this!- Alacquered piece cannot be refinished successfully because materials have not been developed which will completely remove all of this lacquer from the wood. When the new finish is applied it will not dry thoroughly and will become tacky after a short period of time. Authentic antiques will be no problem though. Most lacquered finishes were not on the market until after 1947. Around The County
Last week and the coming week are so full of interesting activities that I hardly know where to begin with this section of my news. So let’s take a look at last week’ activities. I was so pleased to see the twenty-three ladies who attended the Amissville Home Demonstration meeting on last Monday night. They saw a demonstration on “Making Your Ironing Day Brighter.
