Otis Stonewall Kilby of Baaton difed Monday, March 9, 1964 in Culpeper ‘Memorial Hospital after a long illness. A dairy farmer and a mail carrier in the Boston area for the past 24 years, he was 53. He was a past president of the local Rural Letter carriers Association and a member of the Salem Ruritan Club. Son of Mrs. Vinda Thornhill Kilby of Rappahannock County and the late Thomas S. Kilby of Culpeper County, he is survived by his mother; his wife, Mrs. Annie Updike Kilby; one daughter, Mrs. John W. Minnis Jr. of Culpeper; three sons, Thomas F. of Alexandria, Stonewall J. of Reva and James E. Kilby of Boston; one brother D. Jackson Kilby of Culpeper, and seven grandchildren. . .A graveside funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery, the Rev. Dott Bryan, pastor of Slate Mills Baptist Church, of which Mr. Kilby was a member, officiating. Pallbearers were Edmund Burke, Conner Yates, Carter White, Charlie Compton, Thomas Hensley, Otis R. Thornhill, Jr.,Earl Kilby and Billy Minnis.7 Clore Funeral Home, Culpeper, was in charge of arrangements.
