Being a 4-H All Star is the ' highest honor that can be be- j stowed upon any 4-H member, This honor can be won only through outstanding work in 4-H achievement, leadership, Qpmtnunity Service and citi’-' zensftip 'developrtidhr. F; 7 Only one boy and one girl 1 may , , nominated each year tot All' Star-recognition from 1 Rappahannock County. These nominations are made by the , Extension Agent and All Stars 1 in the county, i The nominee must then be at the State 4-H short course to be elected to this honor. Some 4-H activities which piay help a club member receive the All Star nomination after he reaches age 15 include three years of satisfactory project work and active participation in fairs, 4H camps, tours, demonstrations, contests, and out of county 4-H events. Being active in 4-H community improvements, and giv, ing talks and demonstrations on 4-H club work are helpful. Submitting achievement records for state competition is important. Being a good club officer and . junior leader is emphasized. Doing things in 4-H and keeping a record of it is most helpful.
