April 4 Is 4-H Project

Demonstration Day

Project demonstrations teach 4-H members speaking and pose. Active 4-H club members develop at least one demonstration or illustrated talk during the club year. You can learn a lot and you will enjoy sharing information with others through your demonstration.

Just what do we mean by 4-H demonstration? It Is simply showing and telling others something you have learned in your 4-H project. You say *How do I get started?” Here's a suggestion. Write out some of the things you have learned to do in your 4-H project. You may have several. From this list, select something which you have learned and would enjoy telling and showing som& one about.

A demonstration is written in four main parts as follows: 1. Introduction (the importance of the subject or task and how simple it is to learn to do) II. Body (show and tell all steps of the demonstration here.) III. Summary (review [briefly the important pointsqg >tbe demonstration;..the orua) you want the audience to remember). IV. Questions (allow your audience to ask questions.)
