Family Survival may be a doit-yourself affair in natural or nuclear disaster. Lyne suggests that this attractive fill-in-the-blank type publication be posted in every home. The single-sheet bulletin is designed as a constant reminder of home preparedness progress. It tells the family at a glance what survival steps have been taken and what still needs to be done in bringing the family up to readiness for emergencies. One side of this simple, per* sonallzed plan gives the house holder recommendations on amounts of food and water to be stored. Certain types of foods are listed as best for prolonged storage. By mar king on the plan the type and amount of food set aside for emergencies, the family always knows its degree of preparedness.
