The most reliable way to get a good cantaloup is by smell and sight. Look at the netting. It should be coarse, corky and well-defined, and the color under the netting should be turning from green to yellow. Look at the stem end. There should be a slightly sunken, smooth, well calloused scar. Smell the melon. If it smells good, it should taste the same.

Flower Drying Techniques will be their program topic. The Sperryvllle club will meet at the home of Mrs. T. C. Lea, Jr. on Thursday, the 6th, at 7:30 p.m. The program topic will be Fresh Flower Arrangements.
The TUppahannock 4*-H*ers will be at camp next week. They will be participating in educational classes along with swimming and other recreational activities.
