The most reliable way to get a good cantaloup is by smell and sight. Look at the netting. It should be coarse, corky and well-defined, and the color under the netting should be turning from green to yellow. Look at the stem end. There should be a slightly sunken, smooth, well calloused scar. Smell the melon. If it smells good, it should taste the same.

Lea, Jr. on Thursday, the 6th, at 7:30 p.m. The program topic will be Fresh Flower Arrangements.
The TUppahannock 4*-H*ers will be at camp next week. They will be participating in educational classes along with swimming and other recreational activities.
