Feed Grain Payment
Rappahannock farmers in the 1964 Feed Grain or Wheat Programs are asked to come to the ASCS office and sign for their payments. These payments cannot be made until you sign that you complied with the program. The Secretary of Agriculture approved Rappahannock County for haying and grazing of diverted acres under the Feed Grain, Wheat, and Conservation Reserve Programs for 1964. Authorization under this program expires October 31, 1964. Remember - you must come to the ASCS office and sign a form to take a reduction in your payments before you can hay or graze these acres. If you have received your payments, we will need a cash refund before you will be permitted to use the land. Wool and Lamb Producers should file their applications for incentive payments with this office as soon as they have finished selling wool or lambs. The 1964 program ends December 31, 1964. ACP practices should be reported to the ASCS Office by the expiration date on the Form 245 sent you. If you cannot complete the practice by that date please let us know and, if you received a purchase order, you still need to report performance!
Brown-Pullen
The marriage of Miss Shirley Ann Pullen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pullen of Flint Hill, to Richard Allen Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Brown of Sperryville, took place July 9, 1964. The double ring ceremony was performed by the Rev. Edgar B. Cahoon in Mount Carmel Baptist Church, Haywood, Va. After a short trip Mr. and Mrs. Brown are making their home in Culpeper.
