On Saturday, August 8, the Flint Hill Fire Company answered a call to Mrs. Charles King’s farm at Ben Venue where a hay stack had been hit by lightning and were called back when fire broke out again. The Rappahannock Rescue Squad took Mrs. Early Jenkins from the George Miller Farm to Culpeper Memorial Hospital.
