Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hatcher and son Don of Lovettsville. On Friday Mrs. Daily went to Martinsburg with Elder and Mrs. W. T. Daily where they were week-end guests of Mrs. W. D. Barr.

Miss Susie Thornton of Culpeper was a visitor over the week-end of Mr. and Mrs. P. Lee Thornton.

Mrs. Maury W. Brown was notified Monday of the death of her brother, William Roy DeShazo of King George County. She and her son, Allen Brown, of Washington, D.C. attended the funeral services on Wednesday.

Dr. and Mrs. James M. Thornton and three children of Gate City are spending their vacation at Milly’s Cabin near town and visiting relatives in Rappahannock.

Mrs. Rodes Brown had with her last week her grandson J. Rodes Brown 3rd of Staunton while his parents spent several days at Virginia Beach. The Brown’s two daughters, Margaret and Susan, were with their aunt, Mrs. Paul Thompson, in North Carolina during last week.

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Wayland of Arlington spent the weekend with Mr. Wayland’s parents Mr. and Mrs. J. Earle Wayland.

Recent week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Brown were their daughter Mrs. Betty Ragan of Richmond and their son and daughter-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Charles Brown of Pittsburgh. Their grandson Michael Brown, who has been visiting them, has returned to his home in Hampton.

Recent guests of Mrs. Henry Sisk were Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Thompson, David Fifer, Charles Ritchey of Washington, D. C. Other guests during last week were Mr. and Mrs. Edward Germas, Mrs. Nina Cummings, Charlotte Germas and Sharon Osborne. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Groves of Washington, D.C., were Sunday guests.

For Bridge Games

Mrs. Henry M. Keyser entertained with three tables of bridge Thursday evening. She was assisted in serving by Mrs. A. H. Keyser. Guests were Mrs. C. T. Bruce, Mrs. Wade H. Massie, Jr., Mrs. George H. Davis, Jr., Mrs. W. F. Moffett, Mrs. C. B. Palmer, Mrs. D. D. Miller, Mrs Ralph Styer, Mrs. W. F. Moffett, Jr., Mrs. Frank W. Spalding, Mrs. Galley W. Smith, Mrs. Harry Lee Smith and Mrs. B. M. Miller. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Davis, Mrs. B. M. Miller, Mrs. D. D. Miller and Mrs. Smith.
