Mr. and Mrs. Charles t. Bruce attended a family picnic Sunday evening at Mr. and Mrs. c. Ennis Brown’s at Sperryville. David Palmer, Roger Hawkins and joined by David’s cousin Mac Neblett of Smithfield are spending this week at Virginia Beach. Mr. and Mrs. James Massie s guests for the week at Meadow Grove Farm were Mrs. Massie’s brother-inlaw and sister Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Lauver of Pittsburgh, Pa. Mr. and Mrs. Massie entertained a group of friends in honor of their houseguests on Saturday night. Mr. and Mrs. J. Stant Weaver and Mrs. Cora Lillard attended the funeral of Mrs. Rosa Johnson held Thursday in Rectortown. Visitors last week of Mr. and Mrs. L. V. Merrill were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Aylor, Mrs. John Henry Aylor of Aylor, W. A. Dulaney and daughter of Woodville and Miss Gladys Dulaney of Ft. Myers, Fla. Sunday callers included Mr. and Mrs. Walter Taylor of Winston, Miss Lottie Burton and her house guests Mrs. George Burton and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Burton and family. Mrs. Leroy R.
