President Johnson signed into law on July 7, 1964, to become effective J a n u a r y 1, 1965, two bills that will benefit policyholders of National Service Life Insurance. The first, Public Law 88-35$ authorizes a new type of total disability income protection that may be added to all NSLI policies, except "RH*. It will provide a monthly income of $10 for each $1000 of insurance in force on account of total disability of six months or more in duration if total disability is reached prior to the insured’s 65th birthday.
