UllCiCdD, LUC VJCllCicll ft£>sembly of Virginia passed in its 1962 Budget Bill a require ment that the locality must have a true tax rate of 600 per hundred on taxable values (as established by the State Department of Taxation) for Schools in order to obtain a share of the Minimum Education Fund from the Commonwealth; and Whereas, the State Department of Taxation has placed a value on Rappahannock prop erty that seems to be unrea sonably high; and Whereas, it appears to us that the value placed on Rappahannock County real estate should be based on the returr that farmers can get from the land, Therefore Be It Resolved: thht we request the General Assembly of Virginia at its next general session to reduce the 60(5 true tax value as required in the 1962-64 Budget to obtain the Minimum Education Fund: and Be It Further Resolved: that we request the State Department of Taxation to place a realistic value on Rappahannock County property that is ir line with the return of farmers.

(7) Farm Labor and Minimum Wages Be It Resolved: that this Coun ty Farm Bureau requests that all questions concerning migrant or other agriculture labor be kept under the Department of Agriculture
