Baumgardner and his son, the Newbill Millers and their two wee boys (who ride a new type of seat; the precarious seat), Dr. and Mrs. Arlene Wake, Lois Snead with Billy and; Mary Lib, young Mary Wood,; T. C. Lea and James F. Mas-i sie. and Marv Jamieson. s Opening Meet > The first hunting fixture of the Rappahannock Hunt was set at Mr. and Mrs. George E. Muth’s charming “Stonehaven’ near Woodville. Milling on the lawn and gathered around the stirrup cup table were our host George Muth, wishing the hunt well for the coming season, the Joint-Masters, Jim-Bill Fletcher and Jack DeBergh, Whippers’ In Oliver Durant, Bernie Dahlgren, Newbill Miller, and Treasurer Jack Carney, Elzy and son Oliver Brown.
The ladies in the Field were the accomplished dressagerider, Anna Marie Lindgren, the courageous Sue Ingersoll, back for another season after her “Smashing* spill last year veteran rider Eleanor Greenaway and her daughter Lee, and, new to our hunting field and most welcome, the very pretty . and dauntless Minnie Lee Wire on a sturdy little quarter horse.
