Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Lyne were their son, David Lyne, a student at the University of Virginia' and Mr. Lyne's 6ister Mrs. John W. Dennis of Richmond. Dr. and Mrs. F. Clyde Melton and daughter Miss Laura Fleming Melton left last week Jto make their home in Herndon. Dr. Melton resigned the pastorate of Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church as of November 1. Larry Allen of South Eastern Seminary, Wake Forest, N. C. who was the visiting minister at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church and F. T. Baptist Church was the Saturday over night guest of Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown. On Sunday he was the dinner guest of Col. and Mrs. Roy L. Reeve. Miss Mary Jane Morris of Charlottesville was the weekend guest of Mr. and Mrs. P. Lee Thornton. David Jackson •Jackie* Brown has been inducted into the U. S. Navy. Mrs. Mary Ann C o x x o and Mrs. B. J. Moyer of Arlington were guests Thursday of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Aylor. Mrs. Aylor accompanied them home and returned to Sperryville on Sunday. Buddy Aylor of Arlington was a weekend guest in the Aylor home. Mrs. Sam Dwyer and family were guests for several days last week of Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Dwyer. Mrs. Maurice Manuel of Browntown was a luncheon guest on Thursday of her sister, Mrs. B. M. Varner. Weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. Earl Wayland were Julian Wayland and son David of Lovettsville, and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Wayland of Arlington.

Dinner guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Gore included Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Partlow of Culpeper, Mr. and Mrs. Page Carpenter, Eleanor and Sarah Gore of Reva, Mrs, Helen Bruce and son, Francis of Gainesville. Mrs. Bruce suffered a heart attack on her way home and is now a patient in Priiee William Hospital. Mrs. Harry Smith of Arlington was a weekend guest of Mrs. Perle Coffey.
