Woodrow White or Smith Blankenbaker, both of Madison, Va., the name of entry, breed, and owner's name along with entry fee. Entry fee per dog is $3 for non-members of the Association and $2.00 for members. Three classes are offered. Class One, Madison County Champion, is open to all dog owners who are residents of Madison County. The dog owner must live in the county. Class Two, Open Champion. Any dog is eligible to compete whether it is a county dog or from outside the county. The I Madison County Champion dog
j winner of Class One will not j be eligible to compete in this class. I Class Three, Grand Champion. The winner of Class One, Madison County Champion, vs. the winner of Class Two, the Open Champion, earns this title. Trophies will be awarded at the annual dinner to be given j in Madison early in January. Last year's Grand Champion' in this event was "Larry", a setter owned by Bobby Tanner of Madison, who beat "Beau*, a pointer owned by Basil Hurst df Charlottesville.
Keep It Clean!
In many areas as hunters take to the woods in the fall, j we see our beautiful and interesting wildlife, crop replaced almost pound for pound with an unsightly blight of cans bottles and assorted refuse. It has been estimated that it costs 69£ per bushel on the average to clean up highway litter.
