Trout Stocking

Begins in Area

As In past'years," most of the fish to be stbcked will be yearlings (one and a half year olds) but there will be the usual proportion of excess brood fish and two and a half year-olds held over to spice up the angling. In addition to the fish scheduled for preseason stocking, a considerable number will be held for May and June stocking. Regulations for the 1965 season will be basically the same as those in effect for several years. The biggest change will be the decrease to 5 trout daily on all impoundments. The five per day limit also applies in Shenandoah National Park, and on the fee-fishing section of Big Tumbling Creek in Southwest Virginia. On streams elsewhere in the state the regular daily creel limit of 8 trout will apply.
