S/Sgt and Mrs. Jimmie Swind* ler and their family of Manassas were guests for the week-end of Sgt. Swindler’s parents Mr. and Mrs. A. Lee Swindler.
Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Devers had with them for week-end visitors their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Devers and children of Front Royal. On Sunday they were joined for dinner by Me and Mrs. Jimmie Waylandand their two children. Dr. and Mrs. John Peyton Snead, IV are spending a week’s skiing vacation in Stowe, Vermont. Mr. and Mrs. E. N. Montague were in Alexandria for a week end visit with Mr. and Mrs. John Cooper.. Miss Shirley Brown with a party of friends from Washington, D. C. were weekend guests of Mrs. Catherine Brown and attended the races Saturday at Thornton Hill Farm. SP/4 Danny Clater and an Army pal Bob Coleman of Fort Belvoir* Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Clater of Warrenton, Mrs. W. J. Brown of Front Royal and Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Brown of Luray were guests during the week-end of Mrs. Jesse Clater and her mother Mrs. Jenkins. R. E. Wood returned to his home on Sunday after being a patient in the University of Virginia Hospital several days for observation and treatment* Mrs. John Powell Jenkins who has been visiting relatives in Charlottesville for several weeks had the misfortune to fall at the home of her niece Mrs. B. B. Hunter which resulted in the fracture of several ribs. After First Aid treat ment at Martha Jefferson Hospital she was removed to the home of her daughter Mrs, Jesse C. Clater with whom she makes her home. She remains confined to her bed but is re* ported to be resting more comfortably.
Week-end guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jack W. Bruce were Manley Bruce of Arlington, Miss Diane Bruce and Miss Liz Broaddus of Hopewell, both students at Longwood College.
