Two Single-Car

Collisions in March

Two single vehicle accidents have occurrWl in Rappahannock County in March. At 12f30 a. m. on the 6th, a half mile east of Washington on Route 211, Brueton Franklin Settle of Castleton wrecked his 64 Chevrolet convertible. Settle ran off the right of the highway into a ditch, struck a culvert and the car came to rest on the side of the bank. He sustained abrasions of the right elbow, according to Trooper P. p. Dicks, who investigated the accident. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $200. Victor Hilbert of Massachusetts apparently fell asleep while operating his 63 Chevrolet a mile west of Amissville Tuesday morning, March 9. Hilbert’s car ran off the highway, Route 211, at the corner of Mrs. Sarah Latham’s property, and traveled a distance of 690 feet before coming to rest in a honeysuckled'fence row.
