Horses were not alone in running off-course at the races but were joined by the hounds. Shortly after the start of the hound race which was the last on the card, the dogs got off course. However, it was still as interesting as ever, and the winner of the pack was “Boots" owned by J. M. Gibbs of Pratts. Mrs. Gibbs dogs also took second and third place, “Lady Bird* and “Little Lulu" respectively. In fourth place was Jack Blankenba ker’s “Lanky" while c. C. Clarks hound “Deacon Jake" came in fifth. Mr. Blankenbaker is from Hay: wood and Mr. Clark from Woodville.

Gets *500 Traffic Fine
A Falls Church, Va. Negro who was found guilty of reck- j less driving in Rappahannock ! County Circuit Court Tuesday was fined $500 and costs and! given a six-month jail sen-' tence which was suspended. Walvie Jones was the opera tor of an automobile which collided with another car on Sep tember 27, 1964 and a passerr ger in his car was killed. The accident occurred on Route 211 at the west limits of the Town of Washington at 2:30 a.m. Jones and another passenger in his car were injured, and Abner Russell also of Falls Church was pronounced dead at the scene. Bransom Pullen of Washington Va. operator of the other vehicle was also injured.
