How Bad Is “Too Bad”?
The Rappahannock County Board of Supervisors, at their meeting Friday, rescinded action taken in the fall which closed dance halls at midnight on Saturdays. At this meeting, with a vote of 4-2, the lawmakers extended the closing time for public dance halls to 1 a.m.
Though statistics indicated that traffic injuries and fatalities had decidedly decreased since the midnight curfew had been in effect, as well as shootings, knifings, etc., the ordinance was changed.
Discussion centered around the idea that they would ^extend the closing hour and if it got “Too bad" they could change it back to midnight.
Does “Too bad” mean that if too many get maimed or killed it will be changed. How many is too many— how bad is too bad?
