Farmers taking part In the 1965 feed grain program may get the top, rate of payment on the entire acreage diverted into conserving uses if they sign up and actually divert at least 40 percent of the farm’s feed grain base, H. S. Barksdale, ' Chairman, Rappahannock County Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Committee, reminded growers today. The key figures for estimating diverted acres and diversion payments are 20, 40, and 50, the Chairman explained. The minimum diversion under the feed grain program is 20 percent of the feed grain base. The maximum diversion is 50 percent of the base. And there are two diversionpayment rates. }ff the grower'signs up‘and diverts only the minimum acreage, his diversion payment will be figured at the lower rate — one fifth of the counts total price-support rate
