Dr. Samuel D. Hill has resigned as Director of Instruction for the Warren-Rappahannock Public School System to accept appointment as Associate Professor of Education at Radford College, Radford, Virginia. Prior to coming to Warren and Rappahannock counties, he served as general supervisor of instruction and elementary principal in the Augusta County Public School System, as an instructor of health, physical education, life* saving, and swimming at the University of Virginia, and as a teacher of math, science, physical education and coach of football, basketball, baseball, and tennis in the Roanoke City Public School System. He graduated from Altavista High School, Altavista, and received the Bachelor of Science degree from Lynchburg College, Lynchburg, and the Master of Education and Doctor of Education degrees from the University of Virginia. He is a member of the National Education Association, the Virginia Education Association, the Warren County] Education Association, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, the American Association for Health, Physical Education, and Recreation, Phi Delta Kappa-professional fraternity for men in education, Kappa Delta Pi-honor society in education, and Alpha Psi Omega dramatic fraternity.
