To Graduate from Hargrave Academy
Cadet John Maurice O’Bannon of Woodville, Virginia will be among the one hundred seventeen seniors at Hargrave Military Academy who will receive their diplomas at commencement exercises on Saturday, May 29, in the Walter R. Davis - Alumni Memorial Gymnasium.
Cadet O’Bannon is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Maurice O’Bannon, of Woodville, Virginia. He has attended Hargrave for the past one year. He is a member of the Beta Club and the President’s List. He holds the rank of Pfc. in the Cadet Corps and is assigned to Company A.
Honored with Shower
Mrs. Nora Sealock and Mrs. Maybelle Henson were hostesses at a Bridal Shower in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Williams who were recently married in Hagerstown, Md. The shower was held at the Fire Hall at Chester Gap. Others attending were Mrs. Mary Williams, Mrs. Marie Williams, Mrs. Dorcas Kuser, Mrs. Bertha North, Mrs. Hazel Williams,-Mrs. Wilfiarii Fox, Mrs. Iva Williams, Mrs. Maybelle Gilkey, Mrs. Ada North, Mrs. Minnie Williams and Mrs. Pearl Mills. The honorees received many beautiful gifts. A number who were unable to attend sent gifts.

Miss Marian Eastham of Amissville was the Sunday dinner guest of her grandmother Mrs. Edwin M. Eastham.
Mrs. Mary Krause and Miss i-ottie Printz were Sunday visitors of Mrs. John R. Moore. Weekend guests of Mrs. James M. Settle were her sonin-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bowersett and Children Jane, John and Julie of Burtonsville, Md. Miss Addle Boyd was a visitor Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Hume in Culpeper. On Tuesday Miss Boyd and Mrs. C. G. Poston spent the day in Culpeper.
