was not injured; damage was estimated at $500. Damage was slight in a three truck accident. There were no injuries and damage was at a minimum in a three truck accident Tuesday afternoon just west of the Town of Washington on Route 211. Two tractor-trailer rig and a van truck piled up as a result of slippery roads after a hard rain. According to Trooper R. M. Dodson, a tractor-trailer owned by Drug Fair and operated by James Edward Thigrig jackknifed. A van truck and operated by Charles Richard Frye of Mt. Jackson, ran off the right of the highway in an attempt to avoid hitting the Drug Fair Truck which it followed. A third vehicle, a tractor-trailer loaded with lumber, attempting to avoid both of the other vehicles, jackknifed between the two. The lumber truck was owned by Walton Lumber Company of Pendleton and was operated by Johnny Herman Apperson of Mineral. No charges were placed against any of the drivers, said Trooper Dodson.
